About

Kate Dougherty is a fine art photographer based in Pennsville, New Jersey. Her work spans two bodies: celestial mechanics documented through solar and lunar filtration, and wetland impressionism from Mid-Atlantic coastal refuges. Both are made entirely in-camera — multiple exposures, long-lens compression, precise timing. No post-compositing, no generative tools.

Her images sit at the intersection of scientific observation and painterly abstraction, where geometry meets the cosmos, and where light dissolves a heron into atmosphere.

Her work has been exhibited internationally in juried shows at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography and the Hammonton Arts Center, and published in BBC Sky at Night and Colorado Outdoors Magazine.

Licensing is available for music, fine art, editorial, healthcare, and hospitality. She works with art consultants and interior designers to source work for patient rooms, waiting areas, and gallery walls.
